I live in Portchester with my husband, Brian. I am a mother and grandmother; my life is enriched by my family and friends. We have a narrow boat on the Kennet and Avon which is where you will find us most weekends and holidays.
In my previous professional life I managed large implementation projects both in the UK and globally, within government and industry. I have worked as a coach, mentor and trainer with a wide variety of people and organisations, from ministers in central goverment to teenagers in local youth groups. I now use my skills as a volunteer business mentor working with a global women's charity. I hae always loved writing and the written word and several of my fictional stories have been printed in magazines and book collections.
As a bereavement counsellor I offer talking therapy to anyone who is struggling to come to terms with loss. Everyone is unique and their grieving process very personal. I help people understand why they feel the way they do and explore ways in which they can help themselves.
Talking really does help.
I love being a Funeral Celebrant and I am keen to make each ceremony unique and individual, a true celebration of life.
I enjoy wedding and naming ceremonies, for me they complete the circle of life.
All my ceremonies are about the people involved, and reflect what their loved one meant to them. The words, poems, music etc., are all chosen and agreed by you with my guidance and help. I always do my very best to create a special celebration that will stay in your heart forever.
This is Maisie, getting ready to set sail! She often visits our funeral director friends, and loves all the attention and cuddles she gets! She's two years old now but still a puppy at heart! Its amazing how she can tune in to people's feelings and with one look make them smile. Her little face can bring a ray of sunshine to an otherwise sad day!
Maisie often visits our crematoriums and comes to chapel. Here she is practising her hymns!
