Bereavement Counselling

Why bereavement counselling?...

The author C S Lewis wrote “No one ever told me grief feels so like fear”.

Everyone reacts differently to the loss of a loved one. We are all unique.

Sometimes talking to family and friends isn’t enough so it can be helpful to talk to someone who will listen without the need to tell you about themselves or their own experiences. Someone who won’t say “Get on with your life”.

As a Bereavement Counsellor, my role is to support those who have lost a loved one. Using a person-centred approach, I will help you understand the grieving process and help you work through your grief. I will encourage you to find ways of coping with loss in a totally supportive and non-judgemental way.

Each session lasts for 40 minutes and the number of sessions needed varies. Counselling is not for everyone. However, sometimes just knowing there is someone there who understands really makes a difference.

To give us both a chance to find out whether counselling is right for you, the first session will cost only £15, thereafter £45.

Currently, sessions are held via Zoom, Skype or facetime, Telephone consultations can be arranged, if necessary.
